- 7-8 cups chicken broth or stock Use 6-7 cups for a thicker soup, 8 cups for more broth.
- 1 tablespoon Better Than Bouillon Chicken Flavor Optional, for enhanced flavor.
- 1 bay leaf
- ½ teaspoon ground thyme
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1-2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice Adjust to taste; add at the end for best brightness.
- 6-7 oz egg noodles Approximately 3 cups.
Instructions
Slow Cooker/ Crockpot Method
- Add all ingredients to your Crockpot (except for the egg noodles). Stir gently to combine. Cook on High for 3-4 hours or on Low for 7-8 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Carefully remove the chicken and the bay leaf from the pot. Shred the cooked chicken using two forks, then return the shredded chicken back to the Crockpot along with the egg noodles.
